Name: Kallen Kozuki
Age: 17
Appearance:
Kallen is a 5'9" girl who weight about average weight. She's a really wiry looking girl who tends to work out a lot. She wears her red hair either tied back with a red headband that was a keepsake from her brother or down and straight. Most of the time she has an angry disposition on her face and it's rare for her to look kindly at someone.
History: Kallen Kozuki's life started seventeen years ago when she was born to Taishi Kozuki and Melanie Stratford. She took her father's last name but she took a bit of her mother's English culture and she was given the first name Kallen. Kallen is the Japanese pronounciation of Karen. She also had an older brother named Hiroshi Kozuki who was a few years older then her.
She was always particularily close to her brother Hiroshi as they grew up in the slums of Neo Domino. Coming from a family without much money was never truly a problem for Kallen or her family, because they believed more in sticking together then money. Technically, in order for them to live well, Kallen should've been put up for adoption at birth, but her mother Melanie had been firmly against it.
When she was about six years old, she got the rare oppurtuinity to see a Duel Monsters match with her father. From that point on, she was hooked. She soon learned afterwards that Hiroshi, who was thirteen at the time, played in an underground 'league' of sorts. No D-Wheels, but it was better then nothing. This league had salvaged the old relics of the Kaiba Corporation from the turn of the century and used the stages to duel in the old style, with old archaic holograms and no D-Wheels. She soon got incorporated into the organization and she was therefore dubbed 'Little Master' for her mastery of one of the old deck types, the Batteryman deck type.
When she was thirteen herself, Hiroshi managed to get his hands on a D-Wheel and start dueling with it. Unfortunately, there was a horrible accident in a street duel and Hiroshi died when his D-Wheel wiped out, throwing him head-first against a wall and killing him on impact. He died at the age of twenty.
When she figured out about the accident, a whole new world opened up in Kallen's mind. It was ironic, really. Her brother had died in a freak accident, but that D-Wheel that killed him was perfectly safe... even operational. After finding it in a junk heap after the police investigation again, she tuned it up, made a few modifications to it, and now she uses it for her own underground street duels.
Personality: Kallen's personality is a complicated one. If you were to call her witty and 'poisonous', you'd probably be correct. Her wit has a nasty bite to it, almost venomous, without her realizing it. She's also always very angry and full of frustration without even knowing it, but most of the time it's vented on her D-Wheel or on other people through her wicked tongue.
This is only a shell, a shield.
On the inside, she's a vulnerable, scared person who keeps a game face on for all those that she considers her enemies... all those who haven't been able to crack her shell open and reveal the beautiful, kindly pearl within.
Social Status: Satellite
Deck: Light/Batteryman (Old School Deck)
Type of duelist: Both
D-Wheel: Her D-Wheel is pitch-black with one bright white stripe running down the length. The wheels are old trashed wheels but the paint looks like it was a new paint job. Near the seat is one logo, a Japanese kanji symbol. It seems that Kallen named the D-Wheel after her brother, Hiroshi, as an ironic symbol to his killer.
Misc: Kallen has a weakness for dancing (techno) and for tea biscuits.
