Name: Yokata Nozomi
[Trans: Nighthawk Wish, roughly translates as 'Nighthawk's wish']
Age: seventeen years old
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Having a short, fly-away hair with a reddish color, golden eyes and slightly pale in complexion, Nozomi seems a bit more like a guy than what she actually is due to her disposition. With her slightly, taller stature, taller than any ordinary, seventeen-year-old females out there, and less-than-lanky body structure, one would think that she could actually pass out as a guy especially that she participates in a 'Riding Duels' as much as doing the normal Dueling.
As for her outfit, she is more notable for her red bomber-jacket, black leather pants and white boots though she could always go with other attires just the same. Weirdly enough, she looks more feminine in her Riding Duel attire (stated above) than in normal attire, though wearing her with other 'girlish' tresses would make her more 'woman' but dejected that idea stating that 'she is not comfortable' with it.
History:
As a duelist, Yokata Nozomi holds her pride of being one of the rowdiest and, perhaps, the blunt female that she is, always stating what is obvious and is not afraid to speak for her mind. She is never afraid to escape authority just for the sake of saving those she think are deserving for 'second chance' and with no permanent friends to be on her side, she always think of herself as a 'one-(wo)man', if not 'stand-alone'. All of these had been all because of the few years event that occured.
Before things happen, she used to be a cheerful and optimistic female, always dreaming about the supernatural things like aliens, espers, time travellers and the likes. She is creative and loves to dream, even till this day, as she always look up to things she think gives her motivation and reason for her to live.
It happened a few years back then, when Nozomi was just fourteen and her older sister, Yue, is around seventeen. A rival company had threathen to shut down 'Millenia Industries' and harass the CEO's children, which those children are Nozomi and Yue, the CEO's daughters, if they didn't comply with what they want. Enraged that her father faced such monstrocity from a cheater of a businessman, Nozomi rushed on towards the other company's site only to be caught by the henchmen, inducing her with both physical and mental torture. Aiding towards her rescue was her older sister, who, unfortunately, was also held captive. With a threat of raping the eldest of the two, The CEO had no choice but to comply when Nozomi, taking things too far (and somehow loosing her own shred sanity in the process), got a hold onto a gun and threathen to kill anyone who tries to harm her family. Scared down to his wits, the businessman released the hostage and cancelled the threat, only to have something else in mind as, few days later, the younger red-head was arrested for homicidal attempts in which she didn't even killed anyone in the first place. (She merely just placed a threat, but she would never, ever, kill someone.) Being placed in a Correction facility for six months, the female experienced total abuse to her own physical, mental and psychological stated as she swore to the little bit of sanity that was left to her that she would send those who have threathen her family to the depts of hell with her.
After she was released, thanks to her family, the female planned on escaping her family as she fled to Satellite city with no contacts, no other items, just her, the D-Wheel she received as a birthday gift from her father, and her cards. She neglected every inch of her materials back at the manor with her sister, though she still has contacts with her (Yue being the only 'family' left that she had that knows her deep down) and living on her own. As of what happened to her next, nobody knew, but she took a total change in her personality, making her old cheerful and optimistic self into a brash, hard-headed and vocal female that she is today. She participates in the Riding Duels, and sometimes being challenegd in a normal duel, but her abilities can par up with any good duelist if she actually tried.
Personality:
With a high expectations and dispositions within her own ego, Nozomi is, perhaps, one of the more-seldom females who participate in the 'Riding Duels' and using the un-orthodox manner of her cards (which the main deck of hers being composed of machine-themed ones rather than those what other females had prefered to use) rather than 'go with the flow' with the other females. Independent, headstrong and somehow a bit of a hard-headed and stubborn broad, she can pull out a quick word or two in her own defense and would usually tries to contradict those she think spoke wrongly. Having no permanent friends to be with her, she tends to be a bit of a loner, as most in the Satellite city think of her as a snob and obnoxious for her own good. She always stand up for what is right, always ready to speak out her mind and defend those people who were being harmed or harrased, mainly due to her personal experience a few years ago. She is not scared to tell what she trully feels and fight back to those people who thinks of her as a 'trash' but she, too, has her tender sides too.
Sometimes, one could tell she is blunt... ok, too blunt, and doesn't much listen to rules, but she would always interject that there are always reason behind these. She is, hands down, a sucker for mythical things that are far from the realms of reality (based from her childhood deck, the 'Windy Tales' deck) but she has a knack for fixing machines as well as creating stuff out of scrap, which goes back from the time she love to create stuff just to tell a story about it, playing make-beliefs and story-telling. She have a small spot for little kids and for the opressed, as she would do what she can to help those in need, showing that she's not a bad person overall but just a bit misunderstood and lost.
Far from the view of other people, she is actually a dreamer and a believer, always wanting to bring her hopes up high and dreams of, someday, she would come out of this derranged city she have stumbled upon to travel the world without the fear of being chased by the Secrurity or any authority. In reality, she is sad and lonely, only hiding her fears and dejection through those brash actions of hers and her straight-forwardness often masks her sad reality of life. Her mental scar hasn't been healed for a long time as she would sometimes regretted the fact that she was even born. But, nevertheless, she would strive to her fullest and show to them what she is really capable of, that she would keep on dreaming not only for herself but for everyone, and do what it takes to fulfil them, no matter how impossible it may seem.
Social Status: Satellite
Deck:
*Mecha Mayhem
=Consisting most of machine-type cards in any attributes, Nozomi is most notable for using strange cards like the 'Z-Machine' and 'R-Force' Cards in her deck alongside with other machine-based monsters. This is mostly her basic deck everytime she Speed duel with other people.
*Windy Tales
=A deck she constructed when she was young, a believer of the supernatural like Aliens, Espers, Angels and Time Travellers and everything else that is out of reality's bound. She seldom use these cards in fear of her past recollection but soon got to use this deck once more from time to time, with mysterious group of cards like the 'Haibane Renmei' cards and 'Windy Tales' cards.
Type of duelist: Both (though she is more inclined with being a Riding Duelist than being a Ground Duelist)
D-Wheel:
The D-Wheel Nozomi owns looks almost the same as Yusei's D-Wheel except for some minor details like the color. Instead of the red-and-white color scheme, hers are in the scheme of midnight blue and violet as her duel disk is attatched to the side which can be moved towards the front making her handling cards easy. Her helmet is also shaped like Yusei's, only it has two protubes on each side making it look like cat-ears as it also took the color or midnight blue.
Misc:
Being caught once and was sent to the correction camp due to the events a few years back, gaining her a mark in her right cheek in which she hid it using a bandage so that no one knew of her status. Ever since she escaped (or released, depending on one's term), she clearly hid her criminal mark and try to stay as far as possible to human contact (though she defy that later on). At any time the Security wanted, they could arrest the female, though her usual 'miracle' escapes were still a mystery towards everybody else. In reality, she was only caught once with no crime, since she was 'frammed', and the complete injustice totally proves the reason behind the female's juvenile actions.
Another fact is that she is, in fact, the heir of the company reciding in a different part of Japan, 'Millenia Industries', manufacturers of machines imported from overseas, as she actually escapes after the 'frame-up' that occured. She had a older sister named Yokata Yue[trans. Nighthawk Reason] who, despite her medieval-like mannerism and her somewhat cold tone of her voice, always tries to help her as she showed complete understanding and care towards her younger sister. Also, it is known that Nozomi is actually a citizen in Neo Domino City only to fled in the Satellite City to save her family from herself and her 'disgrace'.
